Full Time Cruisers

We are sitting in Christmas Cove in the rain tonight having cocktails as full time cruisers.  We left Portland around 10:30 this morning and had some great sailing.  We did have to motor a little but not too much.  It is nice to sit here and relax.  I have been working 7 days a week 10 hours a day for 5 weeks to prepare for our journey.  Kathy finished work on the 11th and has been helping out.  Here is a list of tasks we accomplished during this time.

- Hauled the boat and sanded and painted the bottom.
- Polished and waxed the tops-sides(the area between the toerail and the waterline)
- Replaced zincs.
- Installed new radar
- Sold lots of things
- Moved a lot of stuff from our storage unit to the camp
- Redesigned how the anchors are mounted including drilling new securing pin holes.
- Tuned rig.  New cap shrouds were too long and had to have them modified.  This entailed going to the top of the mast twice(thanks again Chris!)
- Bent on the sails.
- Polished and waxed cockpit.
-
Mounted and tested new Groove wifi antenna booster.
- Cleaned out dock box.
- Conditioned water tanks.

- Loaded the bikes and secured them in the aft cabin.
- Delivered the truck to Yarmouth NS via new ferry service from Portland.

- Reorganized the storage in the boat and loaded spares.

- And a lot of little projects.

We have very limited internet access here tonight so no photos.
