Icebox Lid Strut
After living on Carina for a year, we finally have had enough of the spring strut that holds the icebox lid open. Too many accidental releases with bruised arms, hands and heads. I decided that an automotive type gas strut would be perfect to solve this common problem. Parts list: 2 - Napa Turbolift 819-5516 20lb 15" gas strut 1 - Taylor Made 1861 SS Base Angled Bracket(2 in a pack) 1 - Taylor Made 1858 SS Flat Bracket(2 in a pack) Misc SS screws Total cost was under $100.
