This past Memorial Day weekend we had the first of many lobster bakes of the season. The weather was rather spotty with rain and 35kt winds. Some brave friends headed out in spite of the nastiness. We opted to wait until Sunday when the rain subsided and sailed to the Gosslings. That evening we steamed about 15 lobsters on the beach of middle island as the sun started to poke through the clouds. We also enjoyed camp fire cooked corn on the cob, garlic bread, cheese and crackers and other goodies.
The next morning we were greeted by sunny, dry skies and a brisk NW wind that provided a nice sail back to Portland.
