We have begun the countdown to taking an extended cruise.  I have quit my job and Kathy is taking a 15 month sabbatical.  We will fiinish up in late April and start our cruise in early May.  We have been looking forward to this break in our daily routine for some time now.

We do not have it all planned out but will start by sailing up(downeast) the Maine coast
and crossing to Nova Scotia.  We plan to see as much of the Canadian Maritimes as we can before the weather starts to turn colder in the fall.  Then we may head someone warmer for the winter.

We will start updating this blog more regularly now and hope to show everyone the wonderful places we plan to visit.  You can follow us via email by clicking on the icon to the right.

Since out last post we have taken another trip to Kingdom Trails to do some mountain biking with our friends Charles and Tabitha Hilton and my brother Doug.  We had a great time.  We also drove south for the holidays to visit with family.

Work continues on the boat as I write this on a very snowy winter day.  The courthouse closed down for the day so I could do my chores but I find myself in my office anyway.
